Watch out it’s heavy !!

Part of me tells if it does make any sense to state this here, but I better do – Yokoso meeting file was uploaded on this website. (well, you never know unless you check this website, so…) It may take few min to download this file – it’s heavy since all of the organizer’s passion in it  – HUGE !!

Take a moment and vet through it. The sign up log is currently open and editable so that you can see what you are supposed to input.  Be aware that the actual sign up starts straight 8am on Monday, so for those who has already signed up - none of your current inputs are valid. The sign up log will be hidden once completed(we will change slightly so that you can input first and second choice for each option), and show up again on the WGA webcafe on Monday morning.

As being cautioned at the Yokoso meeting, be sure to pick up some for every input, choose N/A for the tours/meals you don’t need. (leaving any blank will put you at the bottom of the list automatically by webcafe) The slot will be allocated at the first come, first served basis – again that’s all we can offer for the time being. I wish you rather enjoy this game, it’s fun !

This is a business school but…

Thank you so much for your keen interest. The second sign up account was opened by another organizer to enhance the fairness. We are aware that some people just put their partial infos on the list initially to secure the seats. Yes, that was  smart.

Having said that, we have discussed internally and agreed that we will forfeit the sign ups with no complete info from the list. Cut off time is 8:02am. You had two minutes to complete all the info, and if you didn’t, then we will give seats for those who did it in the complete way though it took few more seconds.

 We hope you all understand this and wait for the update from us. The list will be verified and finalized by this evening.

Your sacred blood…

Yes we DO need this info in case of emergency. In Japan, people know their blood type, and we are expected to tell it to the doctor when you got injured and brought to the hospital. For those who don’t accept a blood transfusion for any reason, please let us know as well.

For those who put the personal information with blood type blank, please try to obtain it from your parents or doctors before you take off the country.  (Don’t make any guess ! )

This is a reminder that it is YOUR responsibility to check if you need VISA to enter the country.

Read read it carefully and prepare the necessary docs. This trek will be regarded as CONFERENCE. We will prepare the docs you need (i.e. trek outline, paid registration form and invitation) and post into your mail box only if you have contacted us in advance. 

Procedures for VISA application for people who are from China/Russia/CIS;

Those who informed us in advance should have received the guidance email from Kohei. Read his instruction carefully and prepare necessary docs.  The docs that needs to be provided from the host including the letter of reference is now being prepared, so kindly allow him some more time. If you are from China/Russia/CIS and have not talked to him yet, please email him immediately (knaka@wharton.upenn.edu).

For any question regarding to the VISA application, kindly contact Consulate General of Japan in New York (212-888-0889) as well.
